The local chapter of IVSA South Korea is hosting an event this august, with the theme ; Vet Med of the Far East. Participants will get the chance to experience the rich traditional culture and the sparkly city life, along with various veterinary institution visits.

4th IVSA Asia Conference

The 4th IVSA Asia Conference is coming up this august in Chiang Mai, Thailand. There will be several interesting lectures covering a wide variety of subjects including the one world, one health project. Participants will also gain experience with the largest animals on land, something that our hosts are so well known for!

IVSA Congress 2012 in Norway

The IVSA Congress 2012 will be held in Norway July 15th to July 27th, 2012.
The theme of the Congress will be Aqua medicine and animal welfare.
The application period is February 15th to March 15th and ExCo members, EOs and local presidents need to apply before March 1st to receive preferential treatment.

SAVMA Symposium 2012

The Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) hosts its annual Symposium at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana during March 15th to 17th, 2012.
Early registration is still open until January 15th 2012.

The Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC) is arranging its 2nd Annual World Rabies Day Webinar on September 21-22, 2011.
Already hundreds of people from over 60 countries have registered for the event. You can also submit an abstract for presentation during the Webinar, but the deadline is very close. Participation is Free.
Abstract Submission Deadline Friday, July 22
Presentation length is 25 min (20 min lecture, 5 min Q&A). All abstracts will be peer-reviewed. Notification to authors is expected in early August 2011. Submit abstracts to: webinar@worldrabiesday.org
The planning committee invites abstracts for presentations focusing on the areas of: canine rabies elimination; human rabies surveillance, prevention and intervention; wildlife rabies control; information and education campaigns; building sustainable programs; and other topic areas that relate to the multi-disciplinary nature of this Webinar. A wide diversity of submissions is encouraged.
